FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS is an experiential experimental video installation work that examines the relationships between sight, sound, and the natural world. Flowers planted in the public sphere are captured in a short video clip and subsequently edited together. The perception of beauty is fractured through the combination of flickering images accompanied by the audio drone of a bee hive. By creating a space that is both jarring and uncomfortable the viewer is confronted by this manufactured video landscape and thrust into an active engagement with the work.
